PeerRef peer reviewed preprints published by JMIR journal

JMIRx Med has published the first two articles using PeerRef’s peer review reports.

JMIR Publications and PeerRef have a partnership as part of the Plan P initiative, which aims to promote the high-quality peer review of preprints before submission to a journal. Through this partnership, authors of verified preprints have a route to rapid publication in JMIR journals, which includes JMIRx Med, a PubMed indexed overlay journal.

JMIRx Med has recently published the first two articles through this partnership. The articles titled Angiotensin Converting Enzyme 1 Expression in the Leukocytes of Adults Aged 64 to 67 Years and Postacute Sequelae of COVID-19 and Adverse Psychiatric Outcomes: Protocol for an Etiology and Risk Systematic Review were initially posted on the preprint server, medRxiv. PeerRef organised peer review for the preprints and published the reviewer reports. JMIRx Med editors then used PeerRef’s reviewer reports to make the publication decisions.

We’re looking forward to continuing our collaboration with JMIR. Together, PeerRef and JMIR offer authors of peer reviewed preprints an efficient route to journal publication.
